Here are pics of the damage the tree did and the repair I had to do. The tree fell and pulled the power mast down through the roof. It ripped right through the roof and created a gaping hole



Here is the hole after I have removed the shingles and the splintered wood.



Here is the patch wood in place. Only took me two tries to get it to the right size.



Here is the tar paper applied. The white spots are sealant over the nails.



I had to add a layer of shingles to keep the thickness correct. Our roof has double shingles.



Here is the finished roof. Not a bad repair if I do say so myself.
